Regulations
Status
1.These regulations have been set by the committee under the authority contained in the general rules.
Regulations may be introduced .amended and rescinded by the committee at any time if the committee fells it to be necessary in the interest of the association or the good management of it waters.
Compliance and enforcement
2. Members and their guests are required to comply with the association’s general rules and with these regulations.
A plea of ignorance as to the existence of these regulations will not be accepted as an excuse for evasion.
The fishing season
3. trout fishing with artificial dry fly only, shall commence on the 1st April and close on the 30th September .only two trout may be taken away on any one day. Capture of fish for sale is not permitted.
4. Coarse fishing shall commence on the 16th June and close on the 14th march following. No coarse fish shall be deliberately killed or removed from the fishery.
Fishing methods and practices
5. Members are required to comply with the environment agency’s fisheries regulations.
6. The only permitted method is angling with rod and line. Only hooks without barbs shall be used on the association’s lakes. Anglers must use a landing net and an unhooking mat when the circumstances require it.
7. anglers are permitted to use only one rod except on Collins, Knotts, Dobsons, Dixons, Pallets Pool, Aldermaston, Brimpton, Colthrop and the Arrowhead where those with a specimen permit may fish with two rods. Those who hold a specimen permit may use two rod on
8. anglers fishing with a single rod may use an additional rod for pike fishing; the two rod not to cover more than 10 metres of water, and must be placed within 2 metres of each other. it is not permissible that both rods should be equipped or baited for pike. Anglers fishing two rods with a specimen permit may not use a third rod. When fishing for pike a wire trace at least 450mm(18inches)long ,must be used .live fish may not be used as bait. Gaffs are not permitted
9. No rod and line may be left unattended in the water. Nightlines and eel traps are prohibited.
10. Fish, which have been caught, must be handled carefully and returned to the water or placed in a keep net as quickly as possible. Fish must not be moved or transported in keep nets or other unsuitable containers. Fish must be returned to the water from which they were caught.
11. On Willows, Alders, Warwick’s and
12. Where a match or competition is to be fished on a water, anglers must leave that water three hours before it is scheduled to commence. No other anglers may fish on waters where a competition is in progress.
Guest Tickets
13. Guest tickets, which are only available to Full Members may be obtained from local agents. No Member may obtain more than two tickets for any one day. Members requesting Guest Tickets must apply to the agent in person and produce their permit and identity card. Guest tickets are not transferable. Night fishing requires Guest Tickets for Two consecutive days. Members must accompany their guests throughout and are responsible for their behaviour. Any disciplinary action may be taken against the member rather than the guest.
Special Requirements Concerning Young People.
14. All young members under the ages of 12 years fishing the association’s water or on its property must be accompanied by a responsible adult who is a Full Member or Associate Member of the Association. All young Members under the age of 17 years fishing the Association’s water or on its property between the hours of dusk and dawn must be accompanied by a responsible adult who Full Member or Associate member of the Association.

Parking of Vehicles
16. Parking is restricted to places marked on the maps.

Litter
18. No litter of any kind must be left. Anglers must remove any litter or adjacent to their swim whether is their litter or has been left by others.
Open Fires and Barbeques
19. Open fires and barbeques are banned n all Associations waters and properties unless specifically authorised by the Committee. Included in the ban is any device or product where the flame or source of heat cannot be switched off safely and immediately with a switch or similar. Small portable stoves where the flames can be switched off safely and immediately are permitted.
